The Saugus High School Softball team has been working hard off season for a very competitive upcoming year.
Last year, the Sachems made it to the state tournament but unfortunately lost in the first round.
This was a huge accomplishment for the girls since they had not made it to the tournament in 4 years and had a new head coach,
Steve Almquist. Almquist is looking forward to working the girls extra hard since 8 seniors graduated in the
2016 class. With only 4 varsity returners, the team will be very young, but ready to take on their opponents.
